Wood is a natural material. Untreated wood is perishable and corrosive over time by wood-decaying insects. Wood is also at significant risk from wood-decaying mould and fungi in high humidity conditions. The greatest risk concerns in-built outdoor timber or timber that is in direct contact with the ground or with water. Treatment with biochemic preservatives ensures that timber remains healthy for longer and extends its life significantly, such as chromated copper arsenate (CCA), alkaline copper quaternary (ACQ) etc.

Work flow

The process of using an autoclave for timber impregnation is fairly simple.
1.The first step is to use a vacuum to remove the air from the pieces of wood.
2.The second step, non-harmful preservatives that are water-based or composed of other safe substances are then injected into the wood. This is what gives the wood the ability to last longer life and resist the harm caused by bugs, rain, and other environmental elements.
3.The last step is to dry the wood so it can be processed for shipping.
